Bye Scully, and thanks

Today we said good-bye to Scully. It was one of the hardest things Scott and I had to ever do. Today, she could hardly walk. She went downhill so fast, we know we made the right decision. It didn't make it any easier to do, but we know it was what was best for her.

She was a great dog. As much as we complained about her, she was a part of our family. She never showed any anger towards us. Never wanted anything from anyone except love. She would bark at the neighbors just so they would pay attention to her. So many of them would yell, Hi Scully, when they passed and she settled down. I think she just wanted them to notice her.

We brought her in around noon today. We wanted to be with her until the end and she went very peacefully. We told her we loved her and thanked her for being such a great friend to our family.

bye Scully, and thanks.

We know exactly how you both feel and you made the right decision for sure. It's all about the quality of life. We are so glad that we got to meet her even though it was only for a short time. She welcomed us into her home as if we had known her for years. Thanks Scully for being such a great great dog!
Love Suzanne, Lance and Murphy!

We went through something similar a few years ago with our dog, too. It's hard but as time goes by, it will get easier to think about her and all the good things she brought to your life. Hang in there!
