G'town

We had a fairly uneventful day at G'town. We met with a student doctor first who had us review our entire history. He was a nice guy but you could tell he was nervous asking us all the normal questions about the history of our journey. As I have mentioned before, Scott is still having headaches. Dr. M does not think they are bp related, so Scott will be getting a head CT just to be safe. Dr M said he really does not think they will find anything but may as well cover all bases.

We also talked about the neuropathy. Scotty is finding that its getting harder to do fine motor skill tasks like tying shoes, opening things for the kids etc. Dr M said that in a small percentage of patients they find the neuropathy won't show up until after the oxyciplatin has been stopped and could take up to a few years to recover.

It took a while to get the Avastin once we were up in the infusion room. I took a nap as usual. Scotty loves to laugh at me about that. I can sleep just about anywhere. We got home around 2p and Scott rested. He had yet another headache and I did some work and then went and got the kids. He was in bed by 8p.

I am having our neighbor Timmy come over tonite to babysit so we can go out to a movie and dinner. It's nice that Scott isn't super exhausted all the time. We can actually get back to doing some of the stuff we used to do. Gotta appreciate whatever we can.
